The Pay Administration Branch (PAB) of PSPC is responsible for managing the public service compensation functions of the Government of Canada. It was created on October 23, 2017 in order to consolidate pay operations and systems functions, and to allow for a greater integration of pay functions as well as providing clearer accountabilities as we continue to move forward in fixing pay issues for federal public servants. With the current challenges that PSPC is facing in resolving public service pay problems, our organization maintains a strong focus on delivering results within a challenging and fast-paced environment. Intent of the process

The intent of this appointment process is to staff various AS-01 positions in Pay Administration Branch. A pool of partially qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions (such as Indeterminate, Specific Periods, Deployment and Acting Assignments with various languages profiles English or French Essential, Bilingual imperative BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC and CCC/CCC) and various security requirements (Reliability and Secret)within Public Services and Procurement Canada.

Education:

Secondary school diploma and/or an acceptable combination of education, experience and/or training

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCES:

EX1 - Experience in dealing with various stakeholders and service providers in a client-focused environment;

EX2 - Experience in delivering administrative services, such as but not limited to: organizing meetings or conferences, preparing agendas and minutes of meetings, tracking priorities using a bring forward system (BF system);

EX3 - Experience in analyzing information and providing advice and recommendations to management or clients;

EX4 - Experience in using various software including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Be willing and able to work overtime on short notice
