Education:
• Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.

Notes:
1. Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

• Experience contributing to briefing and decision-making documents (such as briefing notes, reports, decks, research papers, etc.)
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams to meet project objectives and deadlines
• Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with internal staff or external clients/stakeholders
• Experience contributing to policy and/or program research, analysis and advice

Degree equivalency

Experience
• Experience working in the area of controlled drugs and substances, tobacco, or cannabis, or with the Food and Drugs Act and its regulations
• Experience in liaising with a central agency (TBS, Finance and PCO)
• Experience developing legislation or regulations
• Experience writing research reports

Operational Requirements:
• Willingness and ability to work overtime on short notice.
• Willingness and ability to travel on occasion.
