• Offer an in-house program for the learning, development and follow-up of French or English as a second language and other course terms and conditions.
• Analyse the specific requirements relating to learning and post-training support.
• Design, develop and supply products and services relating to second language learning, development and follow-up.
• Assess the language skills and the progress made by students.
• Offer advice to learners based on periodic language tests.
• Consult and inform the students and share information with them in order to create and populate their academic record.
• Assess and validate the second language training programs, products and services and their results and submit any changes.
• Develop and deliver presentations on the services offered under the in-house program.
• Advise, guide and coach learners who receive continuous training from private-sector or government sources.

The intent of this selection process is to staff 2 temporarily positions for a period of 12 months, with the possibility of extension.
A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used for similar indeterminate, specified period employment or acting appointments.

Graduation with a degree from a recognized university with acceptable specialisation in education, linguistics or a teaching-related field.
Note:
Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Significant and recent experience* delivering French or English second language courses to adults in a professional setting.
Experience in offering advice to learners on their language skills, learning and progress.
Significant and recent* experience designing, developing and delivering French or English courses to federal public servants.
* “Significant and recent experience” refers to at least one year experience within the past 5 years.

Experience drafting reports and follow-ups on student performance
