Intent of the process

One PC-02 indeterminate position (English essential) (Stream 1). Anticipatory staffing PC-03 (Stream 2).

A pool of qualified candidates will be established and may be used to staff positions on an indeterminate, term, deployment, assignment, secondment or acting basis.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION
(ED) Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, with acceptable specialization in physics, geology, chemistry or some other science relevant to the position.

Note: The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and must have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCES - PC-02 ONLY:
(EX1) Experience in researching and analyzing science-policy issues.
(EX2) Experience in coordinating cross-cutting projects, initiatives or issues.
(EX3) Experience in participating in multi-disciplinary teams or working groups.

EXPERIENCES -PC-03 ONLY:
(EX4) Experience in conducting and leading research and analysis of science-policy issues.
(EX5) Experience in providing advice to senior managers* on cross-cutting initiatives or issues.
(EX6) Experience in engaging federal departments, provinces, Indigenous peoples or other stakeholders.

*Senior manager is defined as Director level or higher.

ASSET EXPERIENCE
(EXA1) Experience in working on water and coastal issues.

PC-02 ONLY:

(EXA4) Experience in developing crossing cutting initiatives.
