Intent of the process

This process may be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates which could be used to staff similar positions with various linguistic profiles (Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB, Bilingual Imperative CBC/CBC, Bilingual Imperative CCC/CCC, English essential, French Essential), various security profiles and various tenures (such as Indeterminate, Specified Period) at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

Education

ED1. The minimum standard is:

• A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.

1. Based on their education, training and/or experience, indeterminate incumbents of positions in the IS classification are deemed to meet the minimum education standard whenever a bachelor’s degree without specialization is called for in a position classified as IS.

2. At the manager’s discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience, may serve as an alternative to the minimum education standard.

EX1. Experience assigning daily work tasks for a team.
EX2. Experience in tracking and logging work assignments.
EX3. Experience triaging emails and voicemail messages quickly to identify relevant and urgent requests.
