Duties

The Video Production Officer will be responsible for the creation of video projects and align with the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada’s Digital First strategy. The production studio officer will be responsible to produce engaging, high quality content, and provide guidance and support to others across the Agency to achieve the same. In addition to strategic planning and creative direction, the Video Production Officer will be “hands-on” in every step of the process to develop new digital video content, from initial concept, to storyboarding and scripting, through to production and delivery. The Video Production Officer will manage relationships with internal clients, and will cultivate new relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Work environment

FCAC is a separate agency that offers the same pension and benefits plans as the core federal public service. Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one (1) position for a one (1) year term.

This selection process may be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates, which could be used to staff similar or identical positions with various linguistic profiles and requirements, security profiles and various tenures.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Minimum of high school or CEGEP diploma and a significant* combination of training and/or experience relevant to the position to be staffed

*significant means more than 5 years of combined training and/or experience

Degree equivalency

Experience planning, coordinating, directing and editing a diversity of video productions (e.g. corporate, music videos, commercial, film, TV, educational, online)

Experience operating camera, audio, lighting and other video production equipment

Experience preparing scripts and storyboards for video productions

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Experience in composing, arranging, performing and producing a wide-range of original scores

Experience working in the financial services sector
