• The incumbent will assess relationships among: i) soil biological communities and functions; ii) soil health parameters; and iii) plant nutrient uptake and yield in commercial fields across PE.
• Contributes to the design and maintenance of experimental trials associated to the research topic.
• Maintains records of field and laboratory activities related to the research topic
• Meet the requirements set by the Department for M.Sc. students.
• Perform statistical analyses of data, present and discuss results.
• Write and defend the thesis.
Under minor supervision, the incumbent will be responsible for research on the topic entitled “The effect of crop rotation and management intensity on soil food web structure and functions”. The incumbent will be based at the AAFC Charlottetown Research and Development Centre for laboratory and field work. The incumbent will be enrolled at Dalhousie University and meets their requirements for a M.Sc. candidate.

Currently enrolled/or willing to enroll in a MSc program at Dalhousie University with specialization in: agricultural science, soil science, environmental science or any relevant area.
Experience in laboratory or field work.
Experience in conducting literature review and in summarizing information under different formats (reports or presentations).
English essential
Information on language requirements
Knowledge of biology, ecology, microbiology, molecular biology, or soil science.
