DUTIES:

Some of the key activities of this position:
• Provide support to the planning, development and implementation of economic development strategies, programs and initiatives in Saskatchewan.
• Represent the interests of WD in relationships with other federal and provincial government departments, as well as other stakeholders in economic development.
• Assist in the development, assessment, analysis and evaluation of proposals.
• Ensure the terms of the contractual agreement are respected and project outcomes are reported to Canadians, and
• Review reports of third parties who are implementing economic development projects funded by WD.

The intent of this process is to establish a pool of qualified candidates to fill similar positions of various tenures.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution or a recognized professional accounting designation.

Degree equivalency

Experience in:
• Analyzing information to facilitate executive decision-making and providing strategic advice to senior management on complex issues, including the preparation of briefing notes.
• Evaluating business plans or economic development project proposals for funding.
• Negotiating project agreements and monitoring progress throughout the lifecycle of a project.
• Reviewing financial statements or other financial analysis to evaluate financial sustainability of organizations.
• Developing and sustaining collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to advance economic development initiatives or projects.

• In financial management, auditing, investments or banking.
• Delivering or developing initiatives through Grants and Contributions programs.

Conditions of employment
