ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
EX1 - Previous employment/experience in a short order cook or equivalent position
English essential
Information on language requirements
Knowledge:
K1 - Knowledge of the Food Safety Code of Practice intended for the Canadian Food Service Industry as per the Canadian Restaurant Food Association, including WHMIS.
K2 - Knowledge of culinary terms and techniques.
Abilities:
A1- Ability to communicate effectively orally
A2- Ability to perform basic math
A3- Ability to lift and carry items up to 20 kg in accordance with general safety practices
Personal Suitability:
PS1 - Effective interpersonal relationships
PS2 - Judgment
PS3 - Initiative
PS4 – Dependability
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
AQ1 – Completion of two years of secondary school education.
AQ2 – Experience providing food services in an institutional, commercial or industrial food service environment
AQ3 – Possession of a cooking certificate from a recognized cooking school.
AQ4 – Possession of a Food Safe certificate.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
COE 1 - Willing and able to work Shift Work including evenings, weekends and holidays.
COE 2 - Willing and able to work overtime.
COE 3 - Willing and able to wear and/or utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in compliance with safety regulations
COE 4 - Reliability clearance
