Information on accommodation for persons with disabilities
CFHA manages 11 798 Residential units across 27 sites in Canada. Each of these sites needs to have urban planning interventions to optimize their sustainability, functionality and serves the families of CAF as well as possible. Participating in the creation of these urban planning interventions will be the main task of this job.
TAKE NOTE THAT WE ARE NOT MOVING TO THE CARLING CAMPUS AND WE CURRENTLY HAVE FREE PARKING.
The immediate need is to staff one position on an indeterminate basis, with a linguistic profile of Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB. A pool of qualified candidates may be created and may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures.

Graduation with a Bachelor degree from a recognized university with a specialization in Urban Planning, Regional Planning Development or Community Planning.
-Experience in the conceptual and detailed planning, design and review of site development plans.
-Experience in developing options analyses.
-Experience in developing or updating policies and guidelines relating to urban planning.
Bilingual - Imperative (BBB/BBB)
Information on language requirements
-Knowledge of land use, urban planning and development principles and best practices.
-Knowledge of principles and practices of residential development and financial analysis
-Knowledge of the Federal, Provincial and municipal legislation and regulations and departmental policy impacting the development of federal real property.
-Ability to develop and propose solutions in the areas of housing strategies.
-Ability to analyze and provide advice on property and development strategies to senior management.
-Ability to provide professional direction, through both verbal and written communication to teams, managers, colleagues, consultants, clients and stakeholders.
-Effective interpersonal skills.

-Master's Degree in an Urban Planning related field
-Experience with municipal zoning and urban planning processes.
-Experience with the preparation of public consultation meetings and presentations.
-Willingness to travel.
-Willingness to work overtime during peak operational periods including summer months.
