The immediate needs are for positions located in the National Capital Region (NCR). Successful applicants will be required to attend in person interviews in Ottawa, ON. Intent of the process

The Strategic Policy Sector currently has numerous vacancies at the AS-01 group and level.

A pool of partially qualified candidates* may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions within Fisheries and Oceans Canada in the NCR.

*By "partially qualified pool of candidates", it means that the Second Language Evaluation will be assessed at the time of the appointment.

Education:
Successful completion of secondary school education or an acceptable combination of experience, training and/or education.

Degree equivalency

Experience:

• Experience in drafting, editing or verifying correspondence or reports.;
• Experience using Microsoft Office suite: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Experience in tracking correspondence and/or maintaining a list of outstanding actions;
• Experience in providing a full-range of administrative support services including, scheduling meetings, preparing briefing materials and/or answering telephone inquiries.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Education:
• A diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution.

Degree equivalency

Experiences:
• Experience in scheduling and organizing travel arrangements, including preparing and/or verifying expense claims.
• Experience coordinating and tracking a budget, expenditures, invoices, and/or financial contract.
• Experience in procurement services
• Experience in coordinating Information Technology (IT) related requests.
• Experience in coordinating accommodation requests
• Experience in coordinating Human Resources requests
