Knowledge of evolving trends and technological developments affecting the management of archival collections or the provision of digital archival and research services.
When submitting your application, you must ensure that you have responded to the following question, failure to respond to this question may result in your application being rejected.
Please describe how the transition to a digital documentary heritage medium impacts the future of archival science concerning the management of archives or the provision of archival and research services.
Question 3 :
This question is used to assess the following asset merit criterion:
Knowledge of digital preservation principles, standards or solutions.
When submitting your application, you must ensure that you have responded to the following question, failure to respond to this question may result in your application being rejected.
Please describe a total of three digital preservation principles or standards and how they impact the future of archival science.
The ability to communicate effectively in writing will be assessed using the answers to the above-noted questions, the screening questions and your résumé.

We have 7 positions to fill, 1 indeterminate and 6 for specified periods (approximately 1 year). A pool of qualified candidates will be established from this process which may be used to staff similar positions with various locations, linguistic profiles and requirements and employment tenures within LAC across Canada.

Your résumé.
Master's degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in archival or social sciences (for example: history, sociology, political science) or some other specialty relevant to the position.
Experience in the appraisal, acquisition, description, management or preservation of digital archival collections;
Experience in conducting research and analysis.
Various language requirements
