National Capital Regional Office (NCRO):
Located at 160 Elgin Street in Ottawa, the NCRO is responsible for federal prosecutions in the East, Northwestern, and Northeastern regions of Ontario, as well as in judicial districts in western Quebec. The regional headquarters is located in Ottawa.
The NCRO’s areas of prosecution focus are controlled drugs and substances; terrorism and national security; competition law; and other regulatory statutes.
Office of the Commissioner of Canada Elections (OCCE):
The CCE plays an important role in safeguarding Canadians’ trust in the democratic process. The CCE is the independent officer responsible for ensuring compliance with, and enforcement of, the Canada Elections Act and the Referendum Act.
The Commissioner is supported by approximately 30 people, including federal public servants and independent contractors. The Commissioner's offices are located at 22 Eddy Street in Gatineau, Quebec.
The intent of this process is anticipatory within the National Capital Regional Office. The Office of the Commissioner of Canada Elections has an immediate need to staff one (1) position for a specified period of two (2) years.
A pool of qualified candidates may be established from this process and may be used to staff similar positions at Public Prosecution Service of Canada in the National Capital Regional Office & at the Office of the Commissioner of Canada Elections in the National Capital region, with varying tenures (such as indeterminate, specified period, acting, assignment/secondment) according to the position to be staffed.

Education:
- Successful completion of two years of a post-secondary program with acceptable specialization in paralegal studies or a law related field OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience:
- Significant* experience in conducting legal research on medium complexity cases, files or projects.
- Experience in preparing, reviewing, and managing a wide variety of legal documents.
- Experience in maintaining and updating a legal information management system (such as iCase, Ringtail, PRISM, JUSTIN).
- Experience using Microsoft office Suite.
*Significant refers to the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with full-time performance of the duties for a period of one (1) year.
Asset Qualification - Experience:
- Significant* experience in preparing, reviewing, and managing a wide variety of legal documents.
- Experience in preparing evidence disclosure.
