ITSM is the department’s technical authority on the adoption and implementation of strategic process approaches under the ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) methodology performed by the IT service provider teams through an appropriate mix of people, process and information technology, stressing continual service improvement with a focus on client needs. Additionally, this team manages change, designs services and maintains a service portal, and performs data analysis and statistical/trend reporting, while stressing continual service improvement throughout all ITIL processes.

This includes architecture and standards, asset planning, acquisition and reporting, as well as patch management activities related to the end-user computing environment. The group also provides project management and coordination expertise for major upgrades and deployments of end-user technologies.
Stream 4: Service Desk (IT Centre TI)
IT Centre TI is the national service desk providing IM/IT support services -- offering employees, contractors, students and authorized network users a single point of contact for a wide range of IM/IT related problems, issues, services and questions. The team is distributed in two locations, Ottawa and Moncton, and is led by a CS-04 Manager. It is comprised of five CS-03 team leaders, many CS-02s and CS-01s, administrative staff and contractors.
