A pool of candidates will be established to staff a position on an indeterminate basis. This pool may be used to staff similar positions in Moncton, NB.

EDUCATION:
-Graduation with a degree from a recognized university in an engineering specialty relevant to the duties of the position.
OR
-Eligibility for certification as a professional engineer in Canada with specialization in an engineering specialty relevant to the position.
EXPERIENCE:
-Significant* engineering experience applicable to aircraft, aircraft engines or other aeronautical products such as: design, development, testing, certification, maintenance, manufacturing, repair, overhaul, operations, or product support.
-Experience in the design approval of aeronautical products.
*Significant is defined as having 3 or more years of engineering experience whilst progressively acquiring increased responsibilities related to engineering in the aerospace industry.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS :
EXPERIENCE :
-Experience as a Ministerial design approval delegate carrying out aircraft certification activities.
-Experience in providing guidance to others on the interpretation or application of regulations, standards or guidance material related to engineering activities.
-Experience in auditing design/quality assurance systems.
-Experience in project management within a technical environment.
-Experience in risk management.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
-Must be willing and able to travel nationally and internationally as required.
-Must be willing and able to work overtime and weekends as required.
-Must possess a valid Canadian driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle.

-Knowledge of engineering applicable to aircraft, aircraft engines or other aeronautical products such as: design, development, testing, certification, maintenance, manufacturing, repair, overhaul, operations, or product support.

-Knowledge of Canadian civil aviation airworthiness requirements and their application to aeronautical product certification.
