Some of the key duties include:
•Analyzes, adapts and/or maintains administrative systems, methods and procedures. Assesses effectiveness of services provided; and implements proposed changes. (AS-02)
•Monitors emerging issues affecting the day to day operations of the organization, determines the urgency, priority and relevance of documents, information and communications and identifies problems or concerns. (AS-02)
•Sets the operational framework of the automated issues tracking system, including the development of required processes and mechanisms, so as to ensure effective control of issues requiring immediate attention and monitor the development of effective and timely responses at all stages of preparation from inception to closure. •Interacts with program managers and subject matter specialists involved in the development of adequate responses to current issues, provides advice and assistance, as required, and ensures appropriate conditions are met as far as accuracy, timeliness and completeness. (AS-03)

The Pay Administration Branch (PAB) of PSPC is responsible for managing the public service compensation functions of the Government of Canada. It was created on October 23, 2017 in order to consolidate pay operations and systems functions, and to allow for a greater integration of pay functions as well as providing clearer accountabilities as we continue to move forward in fixing pay issues for federal public servants.
