We anticipate that interviews will be held during the week of June 18 to June 22, 2018 at 22 Eddy Street in Gatineau.
The Commissioner of Canada Elections (CCE) plays an important role in safeguarding Canadians’ trust in the democratic process. The CCE is the independent officer responsible for ensuring compliance with, and enforcement of, the Canada Elections Act and the Referendum Act. The Commissioner is supported by approximately 30 people, including federal public servants and independent contractors. The Office of the Commissioner of Canada Elections is located at 22 Eddy Street in Gatineau, Québec.

Education:
- Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience:
- Recent* and significant** experience in relation to investigations and enforcement matters that are sensitive and complex in nature.
- Recent* experience in preparing informations to obtain (ITO) for the issuance of production orders or search warrants.
- Experience in providing advice on issues arising from investigations to investigators and to senior officials.
- Experience in providing functional direction to investigators.
- Experience in managing human and financial resources.
* Recent is defined as experience acquired within the last five (5) years.
** Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally acquired over a period of at least three (3) years.
Asset Qualifications:
Education:
- Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field relevant to the position being staffed such as law, police sciences, political sciences, etc.
Bilingual - Imperative (CCC/CCC)
Information on language requirements
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of the mandate of the Office of the Commissioner of Canada Elections and of Elections Canada.
- Knowledge of evidence-gathering procedures, in particular under the Criminal Code, including applicable constitutional considerations.
