The immediate need is to staff one (1) english position.
A pool of qualified candidates will be established from this process which may be used to staff similar positions with various linguistic profiles, security profiles and various tenures within Library and Archives Canada.

Your résumé.
A covering letter in 5,000 words (maximum)
Graduation from a recognized post-secondary institution with a master's degree in library science or in library and information science.
Experience in the creation of bibliographic metadata or experience in the development or maintenance of bibliographic standards such as AACR2, RDA, MARC21 or MARCXML.
Experience in managing multiple priorities and/or projects.
Experience in providing advice and recommendations to the manager level or above.

Knowledge of the theories and principles of library and information science
Knowledge of Library and Archives Canada’s legislation, mandate and priorities.
Knowledge of bibliographic standards and formats including the following: RDA, AACR2; MARC21, MARCXML and BibFrame.
Knowledge of the standards maintenance bodies responsible for national and international library and information standards and their governance structures
