Intent of the process

A partially assessed pool of candidates* resulting from this process will be established and may be used to staff similar positions with various linguistic profiles ((Bilingual Imperative: BBB/BBB, English Essential or French Essential) or various tenures within designated workplaces of Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) at the national or regional level.

Indeterminate appointments, acting appointments, assignment or secondment will be limited to the footprint established by ESDC's Human Resources Services Branch, such as: Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto, Gatineau, Montreal, Quebec City, Dartmouth and/or Fredericton. Please note that employees will not be considered to be in travel status or on government business and that travel costs will not be reimbursed. Consequently, the employees will be responsible for travel costs.

* By "partially assessed pool of candidates", it means that the Second Language Evaluation will be assessed at the time of the appointment.

Diploma of College Studies (DCS).

Degree equivalency

Experience in collecting and analyzing data from various sources from clients in a learning design field.

Experience consulting with stakeholders to develop and implement initiatives and projects.

Experience in providing advice and recommendations to senior management in writing and through oral briefings and presentations.

Experience in leading IM/IT projects in a learning environment.

Experience in working in an environment using SABA Cloud.

Top-down ranking can be used at any stage of the assessment process where only the top scoring candidates will be invited to the next stage of the assessment. Please note that different pass marks and cut-off scores can be used at various stages of the assessment process. Candidates who attain the pass mark might not be further considered in the process if they do not achieve the cut-off score.

Note that in the context of this appointment process, travelling expenses or travel expenses will not be reimbursed for acting appointments, assignments or secondment outside the headquarter area of 16 km.

For Indeterminate Staffing: Off-site work is not possible. Candidates must be willing to work in the city where the position is staffed.
