Intent of the process

The intent of this selection process is to staff one position for an initial determinate period of twenty-four (24) months.

A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may be established from this selection process and may be used to staff this position with different tenures (assignment, secondment, deployment, indeterminate, term, acting).

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education:
- A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience related to the duties of the position to be staffed.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
- Recent* and significant** experience in installing and using audio-visual equipment.
- Recent* and significant** experience in sound quality control.
- Experience in providing advice and guidance to managers/supervisors on audio visual systems, products and solutions.

* Recent experience is defined as experience gained within the past five years.
**Significant experience is defined as experience acquired over a period of more than two consecutive years.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Education:
- Specialization in a field related to the use and installation of audio-visual equipment OR sound quality control.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
- Experience in installing and using simultaneous interpretation equipment.
- Experience in sound quality control in a work environment.
- Experience in project management.
- Experience in supervising staff.

The following will be applied / assessed at a later date (essential for the job)

Bilingual - Imperative (BBB/BBB)

Information on language requirements

Knowledge:
- Knowledge of audio-visual production systems.
- Knowledge of the principles and measures of sound quality control.

Abilities and Skills:
- Ability to analyze and synthesize complex information to provide advice.
- Ability to plan, organize and set priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
- Client Service Competency Level 1: Delivers high-quality client service.
