Positions to be staffed are currently located in Ottawa. A pool of partially qualified candidates resulting from this process may be created and used to fill similar positions within Public Services and Procurement Canada with various tenures, various security clearances and/or various language requirements. Please note, at the manager's discretion, the established pool could be used by other departments to staff positions within the public service.

EDUCATION:
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and (or) experience.
EXPERIENCE:
EX1 - Experience in providing administrative support services in ONE OR MORE of the following HR disciplines: staffing/recruitment, classification, compensation/benefits, training, learning and development, labour relations.
EX2 - Experience using office technology, including software applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
AEX1 - Experience** providing support services in staffing and/or recruiting. (** is defined as a minimum of one (1) year experience – within the last five (5) years)
AEX2 - Experience working with an Electronic Human Resources Information System (GCDocs, HRMS Peoplesoft, etc.)
AEX3 - Experience using web-based recruiting system (ex: PSRS).
AEX4 - Experience working in a cost-recovery unit.
AEX5 - Experience using SAP.
AEX6 - Experience in providing administrative support services to senior management (Director level or above) in ALL OR MOST of the following tasks:
-managing schedules;
-organizing meetings, conferences and/or events;
-arranging logistics for travel;
-managing the flow of correspondence and tracking the status of requests;
-providing financial support; and
-preparing HR documents and providing support to management in regards to hiring processes.
ORGANIZATIONAL NEEDS:

Depending on the number of candidates, volume management strategies such as, but not limited to, invoking one or more of the asset qualifications for right fit decisions, top-down selection process, cut-off scores, random selection and/or assessment may be used for the purpose of managing applications/candidates. Preference may be given to candidates based on the depth and breadth of their experience.
