EDUCATION:
Diploma from a Nautical College OR Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation, Electronics and Control Engineering OR Graduation with a degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in Naval Architecture.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience in monitoring machinery and carrying out maintenance and repairs.
Experience in managing and training technical staff.
ASSET EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Education.
Certification in adult education.
ASSET OCCUPATION CERTIFICATION:
STCW Certificate of Competency, Second-Class Engineer, Motor Ship or combined, issued by Transport Canada.
ASSET EXPERIENCE:
Teaching experience in the field of engineering.
Experience as Chief or Senior Engineer on Canadian Coast Guard vessels.
Experience as Chief or Senior Engineering Officer on merchant marine vessels.
Various language requirements
English Essential, French Essential or Bilingual Imperative CBC/CBC
