ED1: A post-secondary school diploma or *an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
(*At the manager's discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience may serve as an alternative to the minimum post-secondary education stated above).
Stream 1 - Experience (EX):
Definitions:
**Recent and significant is determined by the depth and breadth of experience, typically defined as a minimum of two years in the last five years.
*** Emergency Management Program is defined as the prevention of, preparedness for, response to and recovery from emergencies and includes emergency planning, training, exercises, response and awareness related to managing emergency situations.
Stream 1
Recent and Significant** experience in supporting the delivery or development of emergency management programs*** or related projects and making recommendations on delivery aspects of these programs or projects to management.

EX2: Experience in the development or review of emergency or incident response plans.
Stream 1
EX 3: Experience in supporting or participating in response activities related to emergencies or incidents.

EX4: Experience in developing and maintaining partnerships with internal or external agencies or clients.
Stream 2 - Experience (EX):
Definitions:
* Recent and significant experience is determined by the depth and breadth of experience typically defined as a minimum of two (2) years over the last five (5) years.
** Corporate Security activities include tasks carried out to protect a business' employees, physical property and/or information systems, related to a departmental security program.

EX1: Recent and significant* experience in planning, coordinating and implementing Corporate Security activities**.

EX2: Recent and significant* experience providing recommendations or guidance on Corporate Security related matters to clients.

EX 3: Experience in developing or reviewing Business Continuity Plans.

EX4: Experience in coordinating and delivering training or awareness activities.

Asset Qualifications:
Stream 1 - Education/Training (AED):
AED1: Successful completion of post-secondary degree from a recognized educational institution in a relevant field of study.
Stream 1
AED2: Completion of emergency management related training courses (for example, Emergency Operations Centre training, business continuity planning, etc.) or a certificate in emergency management.
Stream 1
AED3: Successful completion of advanced Incident Command System (ICS) training including I-300, I-400 and/or any ICS position-specific training.
Stream 2 - Education/Training (AED)
AED1: Successful completion of post-secondary degree from a recognized educational institution in a relevant field of study.
Stream 1 - Experience (AEX):
AEX1: Experience in coordinating, delivery or evaluation of emergency management training or emergency exercises.

AEX2: Experience working within an Emergency Coordination Centre or Emergency Operations Centre or at an Incident Command Post.
Stream 2 - Experience (AEX)
AEX1: Experience conducting site security sweeps, surveys, inspections or audits.

AEX2: Experience conducting Threat and Risk Assessments or security evaluations.

AEX3: Experience in project management.

Required to possess and maintain a secret security clearance.

Required to travel on short notice for extended periods regionally and domestically using all modes of transportation.
Required to work overtime and irregular hours as assigned including on short notice.
