The intent of this selection process is to create a pool of qualified candidates to be used to staff this, similar, or lower level positions within Fisheries and Oceans Canada on an indeterminate, specified period (term), or acting basis.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education:

Graduation with a diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in areas such as accounting, business administration, commerce, information management, or a specialization relevant to the position.

OR

An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience:

• Experience interpreting financial information and providing advice to management.
• Experience in information management activities such as planning, organizing, processing, controlling, or reporting.
• Experience addressing financial and/or administrative issues by providing advice to various stakeholders.

Key Leadership Competencies:

• Values and ethics - serving through integrity and respect
• Thinking things through - innovating through analysis and ideas

Asset Qualifications

Education:

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in business administration, commerce, information management or another field of relevance to the position.

Degree equivalency

Experience:

• Experience using PeopleSoft.
• Experience working with Government of Canada directives relating to administrative, travel, and financial practices.
• Experience in the procurement of goods and services.
• Experience supervising staff.

Operational Requirements:
Willing and able to work overtime as required
