$21.84 to $25.94 per hour

Duties

The Canadian Wildlife Service is responsible the management of the Greater Snow Goose. This population has been designated as overabundant which has allowed the implementation of special conservation measures to stop its growth. We are looking for someone to update the band recoveries distribution and the survival model analyses from our marking program (banding and resightings collars). The work will involve describe spatio-temporal variation in the hunting band recovery and to use of multi-event models to estimate and in adult and juvenile survival rate of the Greater Snow Goose. The primary goal will be to determine if current levels of hunting pressure in Canada are effecting in achieving management goals for this population.

EDUCATION:
Enrolment in a doctoral degree program from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in biology.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCES:
Experiences applying multi-event models using E-Surge program.

The following will be applied / assessed at a later date (essential for the job)

French essential

Information on language requirements

KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge in Greater Snow Goose biology and dynamics of overabundant species.

ABILITY
Ability of writing in French.
