Duties

Some of the key activities of this position:

• Provides project support to Development Officers and Account Managers and support to the planning, development and implementation of economic development strategies and projects as well as the management of related programs and initiatives in the province/region.
• Represents the interests of ACOA in relationships with other federal and provincial government departments and other stakeholders in economic development.
• Assists in the development, assessment, analysis and evaluation of proposals.
• Reviews financial claims and reports of third parties implementing economic development projects funded by ACOA.

Intent of the process

This is an anticipatory staffing process to establish a pool of candidates, in Charlottetown, that will be used to staff identical or similar positions of various tenures (indeterminate, term, acting, deployment, assignment and secondment).

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree from a post-secondary institution with an acceptable specialization in a relevant area of study (such as Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, International Trade, Political Science, Public Administration) OR an acceptable combination of a university degree and significant relevant experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
• Recent experience (within the past 5 years) in providing information or services to business clients or groups
• Experience participating in working groups
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience interpreting program guidelines or policies
