Duties

The Business Portfolio Manager (BPM) is a trusted advisor and key point of contact for OSFI’s Information Technology / Information Management (IM/IT) internal business clients. The BRM leverages available resources and expertise to enable clients to achieve their mandate while adhering to IM/IT’s enterprise vision and guiding principles.

Intent of the process

The intention of the process is to staff one (1) position for a term of approximately two and a half years.

EDUCATION:
- Graduation with a degree from a recognized university with an acceptable specialization in economics, commerce, business administration, computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or other related area.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
- *Significant experience in outbound or inbound IM/IT sales or account management or customer relationship management.
- *Significant experience presenting complex technology solutions and proposals to key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including senior management.
- *Significant experience writing IM/IT product and/or services proposals.
- Experience in IM/IT service delivery management.
- Experience in project management and project portfolio management in the field of IM/IT initiatives.
- Experience in business analysis and business process re-engineering.

*Significant is defined as depth and breadth or experience normally associated with continuous performance of the duties over a period of 5 years.

ASSET EDUCATION:
- Masters Degree (MBA, MPA)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Business Relationship Management (BRM)

Degree equivalency

ASSET EXPERIENCE:
- Experience working as change manager role to support “people/organizational change management” in a business transformation project.
- Experience managing IM/IT Service Level Agreements.
- Experience in outbound or inbound IM / IT sales or account management or customer relationship management serving the federal public sector.
- Experience in an industry sales and/or account management methodology (e.g. Target Account Selling, The Sandler System, CustomerCentric, Business Relationship Management (BRM)).

OSFI's Ottawa location is downtown with easy access to shopping, restaurants, gyms, financial institutions and more. The building is less than a five minute walk from the Transitway and from the nearest STO stop.

As a Separate Agency, the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) appoints employees in accordance with the Public Service Employment Act (PSEA). OSFI is named in Schedule V of the Financial Administration Act (FAA) and it offers the same pension and benefits plans as the core Federal Public Service. In addition to this, OSFI employees obtain a minimum of 4 weeks of vacation leave per year, earn a competitive salary, and are eligible for an annual performance bonus.
