Delivers expert HR management operational services; analyses and processes requests, resolves contentious and complex situations, issues and cases, and develops justifications in support of actions taken.
Consults with clients to identify emerging HR management requirements, and to provide expert advice and guidance to clients on all aspects of the HR discipline assigned.
Conducts research and analysis on complex and difficult HR problems and cases, or on learning and training needs; emerging human management trends and issues, and organizational change proposals; forecasts potential impact on HR service delivery and client business operations; and develops plans and options to resolve problems and cases, mitigate risks or support change.

The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) is the federal government agency responsible for administering sentences of a term of two years or more, as imposed by the courts. CSC is responsible for managing institutions of various security levels and supervising offenders under conditional release in the community.

Human Resources at CSC
The Human Resources Management team ensures that the right people are in place to support CSC's priorities. It fosters the creation of a modern, healthy and productive work environment, provides clients with timely, quality and consistent advice, products and services to manage risk within the human resources management framework.
Positions to be filled: Number to be determined
A degree from a recognized post-secondary educational institution with acceptable specialization in human resource management, labor or industrial relations, psychology, public or business administration, organizational development, education, social sciences, sociology or other relevant field for the work to be performed.
Significant* experience in the interpretation and application of laws, regulations, policies, guidelines or procedures related to human resources management.
Significant* experience in formulating recommendations, providing advice or delivering resourcing or labour relations services.
Significant* experience in preparing recommendations, providing advice or delivering resourcing or labor relations services within a public sector operating environment.
Experience managing the labour relations grievance process.
Experience working with the disciplinary process.
Experience liaising with bargaining agents.
Experience in project management.
Experience leading resourcing processes.
Various language requirements
Positions within the resourcing team are identified as bilingual imperative, BBB/BBB. The labour relations team includes positions which are bilingual imperative, BBB/BBB and others which are French essential.
