Education:
Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

NOTES: Indeterminate period incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standards based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the CS group.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
• Significant* and recent** experience installing, configuring, maintaining and supporting personal computer hardware, peripherals and software
• Significant* and recent** experience providing coaching on the use of hardware and software to clients both in-person and by phone.
• Significant* and recent** experience in troubleshooting and supporting Windows 7, the Microsoft Office 2013 suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel), and Internet Explorer 10 or later version.

* Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally acquired over a period of approximately two (2) years.
** Recent refers to experience obtained within the last five (4) years.

Asset Qualifications - Experience:
• Experience supporting Adobe Acrobat Professional X or later version
• Experience supporting Windows 10 Enterprise.
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting Blackberry or Android smartphones.
• Experience administering Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 or later version.
• Experience administering Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or later version.
• Experience administering Microsoft SharePoint 2010 or later version.
• Experience in application development.
• A+ or Microsoft Certification
