The Department of National Defence (DND) and the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) work together to fulfill the Government of Canada’s mission to defend Canadian interests and values, and to contribute to international peace and security. DND is the largest federal government department in Canada and is part of the Public Service of Canada. Internally, DND and the CAF are collectively termed the Defence Team and civilians make up close to 25 per cent of the organization. As public servants and members of the Defence Team, civilians work side-by-side with CAF personnel for the defence of Canada and Canada’s contribution to international security and stability efforts.
There is an immediate need to staff one (1) permanent EN ENG 04 position and one (1) permanent EN ENG 05 position in Petawawa, Ontario. A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions.

Your résumé.
Education:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized university in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, structural engineering, or electrical engineering, or some other engineering specialty relevant to real property construction, operation, maintenance and repair.
Occupational Certification:
*Eligibility for certification as a professional engineer in Canada with specialization in an engineering specialty relevant to the position.
*In order to be considered ‘eligible’, you must hold an undergraduate degree from a Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB) accredited program and you must be eligible to register in the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) Engineering Intern (EIT) Program. Note: An applicant who graduated from a non-CEAB school is eligible to enroll in the EIT program when they are either assigned a Confirmatory Examination Program (CEP) or have completed their Specific Examination Program (SEP).
Experience:
For all positions:
E1 - *Recent and significant experience working in a multidisciplinary design environment related to building infrastructure.
*Recent and significant is defined as at least five (5) years’ experience within the last seven (7) years
E2 - Experience in design assessment
E3- **Recent experience managing multiple construction projects concurrently greater than $100K
**Recent is defined as at least three (3) years’ experience within the last five (5) years
E4- Experience developing Terms of Reference for construction consultant teams
