Intent of the process

The two (2) positions to be staffed are currently located in Ottawa. However, a pool of partially qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions with various bilingual language requirements, security requirements and tenures (indeterminate or term) within Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC).

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:
EDU - A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or work experience related to the position.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
EX1 - Significant* experience in developing and implementing strategies, action plans or initiatives for government or private sector programs.
EX2 - Significant* experience in providing strategic advice and recommendations including written analysis and reports to senior management.
EX3 - Experience in making presentations to large groups and senior management.
EX4 - Significant* experience in establishing and maintaining relationships with clients and/or stakeholders.
EX5 - Experience in solving complex issues through negotiations with clients and/or stakeholders.

*Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with performance of duties for a period of at least five (5) years.

One (1) alternate date will be possible only if requested for the following reasons: 1) Medical reasons with doctor’s certificate 2) Death in your immediate family 3) Confirmation of pre-approved travel plans or training plans (made before the advertisement posting date) 4) Religious reasons or another reason that is considered reasonable by the assessment committee.

(8) Original proof of your education will be requested and must be provided during the selection process in order to verify that candidates meet the education requirement. Candidates who are unable to provide proof that they meet this essential qualification as requested may be eliminated from the selection process. Also note, if the name on your education credentials does not match the name on your current photo identification, you will need to provide proof of your name change.

(9) Candidates may be asked to provide proof of Canadian citizenship.

(10) Candidates must meet the essential qualifications to be appointed to a position.

(11) Asset qualifications may be used at the screening stage or at any stage during the selection process.

(12) Candidates are entitled to participate in the appointment process in the official languages of their choice.

(13) Candidates will be responsible for all travel costs associated to the evaluations required by this selection process.
