The RCMP Fleet Garage is seeking a motivated person for a permanent full-time Stores position. If you are dynamic, passionate and have expertise in distribution, shipping receiving and administering inventory in a computerized inventory system, please apply.
This process will initially be used to staff one position on an indeterminate basis, and create a pool of qualified candidates. The pool of qualified candidates may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures (i.e. permanent or temporary) within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Edmonton, Alberta.

•Successful completion of secondary school education or an acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
*Proof of education will be required.
•Possession of a current Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certificate.
•Recent and significant* experience in a warehouse environment with material control duties of EACH of the following: Inventory control, Shipping and Receiving.
•Experience operating and administrating inventory in a computerized material inventory system database such as SAP, Oracle, SDE, SupportMagic, MS Access.
*Recent and significant is defined as 1 year or more within the last three (3) years.
•Completion of 2 years or more (including 2nd year in-school technical training) of a Provincial Parts Technician Trade certification.
•Canadian safety or equipment certifications that would be relevant in warehousing environments.
•Experience with PWGSC National Master Standing Offers regarding courier and/or Freight Services.
•Experience in Using PWGSC National or Departmental Regional Master Standing Offers.

Reliability Status security clearance - NOTE: Successful candidates will require a valid RCMP security clearance prior to appointment and throughout the tenure of their employment. The process to obtain RCMP security clearance involves a security/reliability interview and a field investigation regarding matters of criminal activity which includes reference checks, verification of credit/financial status, education, employment, etc . As such, the process may take several weeks or months to complete.
•Possession of a valid provincial driver’s license.
•Ability and willingness to lift and carry items weighing up to 22.5 kg.
