The main responsibilities of an Appraisal Analyst is to provide independent and impartial expertise and advisory services in appraisal and valuation to clients. The key activities include but not limited to communicate with clients to develop terms of reference to ensure appraisal products meet statutory policy guidelines and meet or exceed clients’ requirements; engage third party appraisers to prepare appraisals, market surveys and market analyses; review the reports carried out by third party appraisers to provide quality assurance services; and prepare internal analysis reports.

Your résumé.
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.
Current Accreditation in good standing as a professional appraiser by either the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AACI designation) or the Order of Chartered Appraisers of Québec (ÉA designation).
Recent and significant experience in estimating the market value of commercial real properties.
Recent and significant experience in estimating the market rent of commercial real properties.
Recent and significant is defined as within the last 5 years and the depth and breadth of the experience normally associated with the full time performance of duties for at least 5 years.
English essential
Information on language requirements
Knowledge of real estate appraisal theory and practices.
Knowledge of financial calculation techniques used to perform valuations.

Ability to manage multiple valuation projects.
Written communication.

Experience in estimating the market value of land including large comprehensive development sites.
Experience in estimating special purpose properties including water lots, conservation lands, and engineering assets.
Knowledge of Argus Discounted Cash Flow software and Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
Possession of a valid driver’s license or personal mobility to the extent normally associated with the possession of a driver’s license.
Willing and able to travel, as required.
Reliability Status security clearance
Must be an accredited member in good standing with the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AACI designation) or a chartered member of the Order of Chartered Appraisers of Québec (ÉA designation).
