Intent of the process

A pool of fully qualified candidates may be established to staff similar or identical positions within Elections Canada with various tenures (indeterminate, specified periods) and with various linguistic profiles.

Either: a post-secondary degree or diploma; OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience related to the position to be staffed.

Degree equivalency

Recent* and significant** experience in the use of TWO OR MORE of the following multimedia software suites:

• E-learning development software such as Adobe Captivate or Articulate Storyline;
• Desktop publishing software, specifically Adobe InDesign;
• Video editing software, specifically Adobe Premiere Pro;
• Visual effects and motion graphics software such as Adobe After Effects;
• Raster or vector graphics editors, specifically Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator;

Experience interpreting client requirements

Experience in providing advice relating to the design and implementation of multimedia materials

Experience in the design and implementation of learning or performance materials for adults

NOTE:
* Recent is defined as within the last three (3) years.
** Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of activities related to this task which are acquired over a period of at least one (1) year.

Experience in delivering training to adults in a classroom setting

Experience in the configuration and management of a Learning Management System as a system manager or administrator

Recent experience working for an election management body (within the last three 3 years)

Ability to prepare multimedia materials using e-learning development software (Adobe Captivate preferred)

Ability to prepare multimedia materials using desktop publishing software (Adobe InDesign preferred)

Ability to prepare multimedia materials using video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro preferred)

Ability to prepare multimedia materials using visual effects and motion graphics software (Adobe After Effects preferred)

Ability to prepare multimedia materials using raster or vector graphics editors (Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator preferred)

Conditions of employment
