You will develop innovative marketing strategies to help Canadians make informed decisions about their health and safety. You will do this by analyzing research, understanding audiences, and implementing marketing campaigns that reach these audiences with compelling messages.
You will work on innovative ways to reach Canadians, such as advertising, outreach, digital engagement, experiential events, and strategic partnerships with the private sector, not-for-profit associations, media, and other levels of government to extend the reach of your campaign.
Finally, you will analyze results to measure campaign effectiveness and identify opportunities to improve.

The Marketing team at Health Canada is a dynamic and creative group of people who are passionate about promoting health, raising awareness about important health issues and helping Canadians ultimately make healthier and safer choices for themselves and their families.
We are located at Tunney’s Pasture near two of Ottawa’s trendiest neighbourhoods, Wellington Village and Westboro. We also have marketing opportunities on Colonnade Road in Nepean. Ottawa is a bilingual city, ideal for food and culture enthusiasts, those who enjoy the outdoors year-round, and those looking to raise a family.
This selection process will be used to establish pools of qualified candidates to fill a variety of current and future marketing positions at the IS-04 group and level with various tenures and various language requirements.

A bachelor’s degree in marketing, commerce or communications from a recognized university or an acceptable combination of marketing training and/or experience*
*Candidates who do not possess a bachelor’s degree in marketing, commerce or communications from a recognized university can meet the education requirement through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience. In these cases, you must clearly indicate relevant education and training by listing completed marketing courses and/or marketing-related experience.
• Experience developing and executing one or more marketing campaigns.
• Experience evaluating marketing projects and conducting research to inform a marketing strategy.
• Experience providing advice and making recommendations to clients or supervisors.
• Experience working with contractors and suppliers.
• Experience working collaboratively with a partner organization such as the federal government, provincial/territorial or municipal counterpart, non-governmental organization or private-sector partner.
• Experience with managing project budgets, developing forecasts and tracking project spending.
