Candidates will be asked, as per the application process, to answer screening questions for each essential and asset criteria (education and experience). Candidates will have to provide concrete examples, for each screening question demonstrating how they have acquired the education and experience criteria in 400 words or less. Please note that it is not sufficient to only state that the qualification is met or to provide a listing of current or past responsibilities. Resumes will be used as a secondary source to validate your answers to the screening questions. Failure to clearly demonstrate in your answers how you meet the screening criteria (education and experience) may result in the rejection of your application.
Note: A cover letter will not be required as the screening questions will be used for screening purposes.

The intent of this process is to staff two (2) Senior Communications Advisors indeterminate bilingual imperative positions, one CBC/CBC and one BBB/BBB. A pool of qualified candidates may be established to staff similar positions within Environment and Climate Change Canada with various linguistic profiles as well as various tenures and various security clearance levels according to the position being staffed.

EDUCATION:
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.

1. Based on their education, training and/or experience, indeterminate incumbents of positions in the IS classification are deemed to meet the minimum education standard whenever a bachelor's degree without specialization is called for in a position classified as IS.
2. At the manager's discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience, may serve as an alternative to the minimum education standard.

Experience in developing various communications products such as news releases, communications plans, backgrounders, media lines, and web content.
Experience in media relations.
