The intent of this process is to establish a pool of candidates that could be used to staff positions at Transport Canada in the National Capital Region. The pool may also be used to staff positions at equivelent groups and levels of various durations.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION

Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of experience and/or training.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE

Experience assembling, disassembling and making repairs to modular and freestanding office furniture.

Experience moving items in a commercial office environment (i.e. household contents, office furniture and equipment) including loading and off-loading moving trucks.

Experience in using computers and various software programs such as: Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel.

Experience using powered and manual tools (such as a drill, level, pallet mover)

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

Experience providing customer or client services;
Experience working as a professional mover;
Experience using safe handling and stocking procedures;
Experience supervising outside contractors in a governmental building environment;
Experience working in an inventory supply, warehouse or stores environment that includes receipts, issues, shipping and warehousing.
