The Canada School of Public Service is a small organization (approx. 600 employees). Through its mandate, it plays a key role in all departments of the federal public service and provides its employees with a workplace where learning and professional development are valued.

Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to staff six (6) positions with various linguistic requirements. A pool of qualified candidates will be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions with various tenures, locations and linguistic requirements within the Canada School of Public Service.

A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

EXPERIENCES
ALL STREAMS
E1: Experience in providing administrative support services to management*.
*Management is define as manager and above.

E2: Experience preparing and/or revising written materials, such as correspondence or briefing materials.

E3: Experience using MS Software (including outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint).

STREAM 1 : Finance and Administrative Officer / Executive Assistant
E4: Experience in coordinating finance activities, at least three (3) of the following:
- processing travel approvals and expense claims;
- organizing and coordinating approvals for hospitality;
- coding and ensuring approvals for paying invoices;
- extracting or preparing budget reports.

STREAM 2 : Regional Learning Coordinator
E5: Experience in preparing correspondence and reports relative to training delivery.

E6: Experience in coordinating or supervising the work of a team.

STREAM 3 : Team Leader
E7: Experience in researching and analyzing information for presentation to management*.
*Management is defined as a supervisor and above.

E8: Experience in coordinating and/or supervising the work of a team.

STREAM 4 : National Operations Planning Support and Scheduling Officer
E9: Experience working with Microsoft Excel advanced level features such as: pivot table, diagram, pick list, macros and to organize data in tables.

STREAM 5 : IM Specialist
E10: Experience in providing Recordkeeping and Information Management (IM) Services.

E11: Experience developing procedures, guides and tool for the management of information.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

STREAM 3
Operational business hours of the client contact center are from 8h00 to 5h00. Employees are required to work between these business hours (8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. / 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. / 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).

PSEE - Test of Judgement UIT

Applicants must complete the Public Service Entrance Exam: Test of Judgement Unsupervised Internet Test as part of the screening for this selection process. This test assesses the judgement required for solving problems in work-related situations. You will have 75 minutes to complete the test. You must complete the test before you submit your application for this position.
