Intent of the process

The results of this competition may be used to staff similar term positions within Innovation Science and Economic Development Canada and the Canada Border Services Agency over the next twelve months, following the results of the competition.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education:
A degree from a recognized post-secondary educational institution in computer science, information technology, information management, engineering, business administration or another specialty relevant to the position being staffed.

Degree equivalency

Experience :
- Experience leading ‘agile’ or rapid information solution design and delivery.
- Experience leading project activities for complex projects*, including managing risk.
- Experience collecting, analyzing and presenting data from multiple sources to support the decision making process of management**.
- Experience providing advice to Senior Management ***.
- Experience leading a team of resources in the delivery of large**** and complex projects
- Experience in a work environment related to Information technology (IT).

* Complex projects are defined as having at least one (1) of the following characteristics: multidimensional, sensitive, confidential, affecting many partners or stakeholders, bringing something new to the organization, having a major impact on the partners or stakeholders.
**Management is defined as Manager-level and above.
*** Senior Management is defined as Director level and above.
****Large is defined as having a monetary value of 1 million dollars or more.

- Knowledge of project management life cycle, including risk management.

Ability to communicate in writing will be evaluated throughout their application, and may result in your elimination from the processus.
