The Royal Canadian Mounted Police, "J" Division, is seeking dynamic individuals interested in a career in Administration in fields such as: Finance, Human Resources, Planning, IM/IT, Operations, Health, etc.

Please note this inventory may be used by other government departments or agencies.

This inventory may be used to staff positions in other locations across New Brunswick.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

CR-04 and CR-05 Positions:
Successful completion of two years of secondary school or employer- approved alternatives.

AS-01 Positions:
A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.

Degree equivalency

Experience providing service to internal or external clients / general public, via telephone, in writing or in person

Experience in using spreadsheet and word processing software

Experience in coordinating administrative activities such as: meetings and taking minutes, teleconferences, videoconferences, scheduling travel arrangements, incoming and outgoing correspondence, data entry, filing, editing and verifying correspondence or reports

Experience in coordinating administrative activities in the office of a manager or executive.
Experience in providing administrative support services in the field of program management.
Experience maintaining and updating a Human Resources Management Information System (e.g. HRMIS, PeopleSoft).
Experience preparing documents such as letters, memoranda, briefing notes or reports.
Experience providing financial support services (services may include, but are not limited to, verifying and correcting financial claims, controlling and monitoring petty cash, preparing financial status reports, etc.).
Experience maintaining a law enforcement database such as: Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC), Police Information Retrieval Systems (PIRS), Police Reporting and Occurrence System (PROS), Automated Criminal Intelligence Information System (ACIIS), National Criminal Data Bank (NCDB), Evidence and Reports III (E&R III).
Experience providing records management services in a records management role (services may include, but are not limited to, indexing, cross-referencing, filing, retrieving, retaining, archiving or destroying data).
Experience transcribing from audio cassettes or digital media.
Experience providing administrative support in a police environment.

Other information

Testing/interviews will be conducted at locations of the employer's choice and may require candidates to travel to the test/interview location (New Brunswick).

Please note that candidates (including employees of the Public Service ) will not be considered to be in travel status or on government business and that travel costs will not be reimbursed. Consequently, candidates will be responsible for travel costs.
