Important messages

When you apply to this selection process, you are not applying for a specific job, but to an inventory for future vacancies. As positions become available, applicants who meet the qualifications may be contacted for further assessment.

We are looking for talented and motivated individuals who are ready to take on challenges and who will help shape and build Transport Canada’s future.

The Administrative Support Inventory Assistant is our primary hiring mechanism for a wide range of positions within our organization. With a single application, you have the opportunity to be considered for several positions.

As positions become available, the applicants meeting the initial screening requirements identified by the hiring manager may be contacted and referred for consideration. Please ensure that your information is updated and remains current in your PSRS Applicant Account.

***VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: It is the responsibility of the candidate to clearly outline that they meet each of the screening criteria (i.e. Education and Experience Qualifications, both Essential and Assets) in the screening questions. Please note that it is not sufficient to only state that the requirement is met or to provide a listing of current responsibilities, rather the candidate must provide concrete, detailed examples that illustrate how and when they have met the requirement. Failure to do so could result in the application being rejected from the process.

Written communication will be assessed using your answers to the screening criteria.
