Duties

The Operational Risk Division is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Toronto Office in the position of Senior Supervisor. The position will be part of a team involved in the review of FRFIs’ information security and technology risks and operational risk management functions. The position will also assist in planning, determining the scope and conducting supervisory assessments of FRFIs’ information security, operational risks and operational risk management programs to support on-going assessments. This includes risk-based profiling of risks reviews, monitoring specified FI’s and assessing processes used by FRFIs to address these risks.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
● A university degree with specialization in Information Technology and Information Security, Computer Science, Information Science OR an acceptable combination of education, experience and/or training.

Degree equivalency

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
● Recent and significant experience in the financial services industry*, in one of the following areas:

- Technology Operations
- Information Security Operations
- Technology risk management
- Information security/cyber security risk management
- Internal/external technology focused audit (e.g., application audit, technology audits, cyber security audit, etc.)
- System/Data analysis
- Supervising, examining or auditing technology or applications in financial institutions

* Financial services industry experience as experience working in a financial institution, including banks, insurance companies, pension funds, wealth management firms, and accounting firms (dealing with audits), as well as government departments that directly deal with the supervision and regulation of these institutions, or other relevant areas.
