There are two (2) streams for this process:
STREAM 1: Manager, Policy Development : IM/IT
STREAM 2: Manager, Policy Development : Policy

In the application, you must provide your curriculum vitae. In the pre-screening questions, for each Essential and Asset education and experience qualification indicate Yes if you have/meet it. Then below each experience qualification for which you have indicated Yes, you must provide clear and concrete EXAMPLES and DETAILS of how you meet them. For the experience qualifications, be sure to include WHEN, WHERE and HOW you obtained this experience. It is recommended that you describe the examples in specific terms, providing sufficient details so that the Assessment Board can clearly understand the circumstances. Describe the situation/task, the action you took, what you accomplished and/or what you learned. DO NOT SIMPLY INDICATE IN YOUR RESPONSE "PLEASE REFER TO CV/RÉSUMÉ". Lack of EXAMPLES and DETAILS may result in your application being rejected as the Assessment Board will have insufficient information to determine whether or not you meet the qualifications.

Education:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in Economics, Sociology or Statistics
Note: Candidates must always have a university degree. The courses for the specialization do not necessarily have to be part of a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience:
All streams:
EE1. Recent and significant* experience writing briefing and decision-making documents for senior executives** (such as briefing notes, reports, decks, etc.)
EE2. Recent and significant* experience providing strategic analysis and recommendations on complex issues to senior executives**
EE3. Experience, establishing and maintaining relationships with a variety of partners and stakeholders such as federal departments/agencies, other levels of government, private sector, non-governmental and/or international organizations.
Stream 1 only:
EE4. Recent and significant* experience leading large and complex IM/IT projects.
EE5. Recent and significant* experience supporting the provision of IT or business solutions.
EE6. Recent and significant* experience in managing a multi-dimensional service function
EE7. Experience in reviewing and assessing IM/IT services to identify opportunities for efficiencies
Stream 2 only:
EE8. Recent and significant* experience in the management of policy development, analysis, and coordination
*Recent and significant is understood to mean the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of complex related activities for a period of approximately three (3) years within the past five (5) years
** Senior Executives is defined as Director General level within the federal government or as a senior manager within the private sector
Education:
Graduation with a degree from a post-secondary institution with a specialization in computer science, computer engineering, or other related field.
Experience:
AE1. Experience leading international regulatory standardization bodies.
AE2. Experience chairing or serving on committees or working groups
AE3. Experience in corporate budget management or financial planning.
AE4. Experience with Government of Canada Financial Management Practices
AE5. Experience leading the development and implementation of performance measurement frameworks.
AE6. Experience developing and implementing HR policies
AE7. Experience developing and implementing corporate governance frameworks
AE8. Experience developing and implementing an IM strategy
AE9. Experience developing and implementing an IT strategy
AE10.Experience managing contracts through Government of Canada procurement .
AE11. Experience in the preparation of Cabinet documents or Treasury Board Submissions.
