Education :
EED1 - Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, toxicology, or some other specialty related to the position.
The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and must have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution
Experience :
EEX1 - Significant* experience leading a working group or a team
EEX2 - Significant* experience providing science or regulatory-based advice and recommendations to management**.
EEX3 - Experience planning and delivering a process, project or program in a regulatory environment.
EEX4 - Experience in the development, interpretation, application or enforcement of legislation or regulations.
* "Significant" is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the performance of the duties for a period of three years.
**Management is described as Manager level or above.
Education :
AED1 - Graduation with a Masters or Doctorate degree or post-graduate diploma* from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, toxicology, or some other specialty related to the position.
* Depending on the province, the title can vary: Post-Graduate Diploma, Post-Graduate Certification or D.E.S.S. (in the Province of Quebec)
Experience :
AEX1 - Experience representing and negotiating on behalf of the department on national or international working groups or committees.
AEX2 - Experience overseeing the approval process for the development or amendment of regulation.
AEX3 - Experience in the administration of the regulatory framework related to hazardous products, consumer products or cosmetics.
AEX4 - Significant* experience conducting, monitoring or coordinating compliance or enforcement activities such as inspections, pertaining to products regulated by Health Canada.
* Significant” is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the performance of the duties for a period of three years.
