This position, which reports to the regional director of Environmental Enforcement, is crucial in ensuring a well-run and operational enforcement unit. The position is responsible for the planning and coordination of training, managing officer safety issues and equipment, work planning, and various reporting and policy requirements for the work unit. This position works closely with enforcement officers and operations managers throughout Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, Nunavut and NWT, and in coordination with the other regions and headquarters. The intent of this process is to create a pool to staff positions with various tenures (indeterminate, specified period, deployment, acting, acting extensions, assignment, secondment), language requirements/linguistic profiles (English Essential, Bilingual imperative (BBB/BBB)) and/or security status (Reliability or Secret) within Environment and Climate Change Canada in the Prairie and Northern Region.

EDUCATION:
A secondary school diploma.
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience collating, reviewing, analyzing information and communicating results and conclusions in the form of briefing notes, presentations or discussion papers.
- Experience managing or coordinating multifaceted projects.
- Experience in coordination and providing advice on training, procurement, health and safety, policies or asset management.
- Experience reviewing and developing policies, programs or procedures.
- Experience writing reports, presentations, articles, newspapers or briefing notes.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from a recognised university with a degree in public administration, business administration, human resources, criminology, commerce or some other specialty relevant to the position.
- Experience in managing staff.
- Experience in asset management.
- Experience working in a law enforcement environment.
- Experience working in an environmental (pollution) enforcement program.
