Work environment

Our Human Resources (HR) Innovation team is currently looking for a leader in transformative research who would like to be at the forefront of innovation in the HR field within the public service of Canada.

What should you expect?

As manager of the transformative research sector, you will help the members of your team in deciding on and identifying research topics in order to find innovative project ideas that could revolutionize the HR field in the public service. You will also be required to network with private companies to learn from their innovative practices and to push your team's research even further.

You and your team members will also work closely with project managers to test and measure the success of your new ideas. Therefore, you will be able to draw upon your creativity as well as your research and management skills to ensure the success of the various initiatives launched by the team.

STEP 1: INTRODUCE YOURSELF
Tell us about yourself! We want to know why you would be the ideal candidate for this position and which assets you would bring to the role.

-Have you managed a work team in the past? If so, tell us how long you were in such a role and how many employees you supervised. We would also like to know more about how you assigned work to your employees and how you made sure that tasks or projects were completed on time.

Please give a detailed example of your projects and accomplishments that justify your experience and also indicate your reasoning and how you proceeded.

- Do you have experience in presenting strategic results to senior management and developing supporting documentation? Please provide the following information: the topic in question, the objective, the audience, your methodology and the documents developed.

- Describe situations in which you had to develop evidence-based documents (e.g. research documents, studies, policies) and provide recommendations to support an organization’s business lines.
