The incumbent of the position will be responsible for planning, developing and managing a significant subject-matter program tailored to the needs of federal government departments and agencies, and partner organizations in support of compliance with government legislation and policy with a view of promoting greening government operations and meeting clients’ expectations.

A pool of partially qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions within the public service with various tenures such as temporary or permanent. EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, with acceptable specialization in physics, geology, chemistry, biology or some other science relevant to the position.
EXPERIENCES:
Experience in providing strategic advice to senior management** on environmental issues.
Significant* and recent* experience in the management of human and financial resources.
Significant* and recent* experience in working with clients to develop environmental programs or services.
Significant* and recent* operational experience in developing complex*** environmental programs or services.
Note:
*Significant and recent experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the full-time performance of duties over a period of one fiscal year within the last five years.
**Senior Management: Director level and above or equivalent.

ASSETS QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in environmental compliance.
Experience in Health and Safety in Real Property.
Experience in managing sustainable buildings.
Reliability Status security clearance
Willingness and ability to work overtime, often on short notice.
Willingness and ability to travel, on occasion.
