When you apply to this selection process, you are not applying for a specific job, but to an inventory for future vacancies. As positions become available, applicants who meet the qualifications may be contacted for further assessment.
This inventory process (internal and external) will be advertised for a period of 3 months from Friday February, 16, 2018 to Friday May 11, 2018. Interested persons employed in the Federal Public Service ARE REQUIRED to apply to the internal process. Applications will be considered and assessed at regular intervals (3 rounds) (See *NOTE*) within this period. The candidates who meet the Essential Qualifications will be deemed qualified after each round and will be placed in the inventory for immediate consideration for EX-02/EX03 positions being staffed. Asset qualifications will be assessed as required depending on the positions being staffed.
For screened in candidates, a written assignment, presentation and interview may be administered as well as a comprehensive reference exercise to assess Essential Knowledge, Essential Abilities and the Key Leadership competencies.

ANTICIPATORY PROCESS : A pool of partially assessed candidates will be established and will be used to staff similar positions within Shared Services Canada in various locations across Canada. ESSENTIAL EDUCATION - COMMON TO EX-02 and EX-03
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field relevant to the position being filled.
OR
Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in information management/ information technology (IM/IT) or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE EX-02 ONLY
E1- Significant* experience in the planning, delivery and management of programs, services or projects;
E2- Significant* experience in the provision of strategic advice, making recommendations, and preparing briefing material to senior executives (at the DG or equivalent level and above) on complex*** business or IM/IT issues or Departmental programs or IT Security issues;
E3-Significant* experience in building, negotiating and maintaining partnerships and networks with stakeholders such as, federal government departments and agencies, other levels of government, internal service lines, or private sector organizations;
E4-Significant* experience in managing human resources****;
E5- Experience in managing a budget.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE EX-03 ONLY
E1-Extensive** experience in planning, delivery and management of programs, services or projects;
