Duties include the following activities:
• Litigation processing and Court Services for judiciary and litigants.
• Information and liaison services for judiciary, staff, lawyers, litigants and the general public.
• Procedural advice and assistance to the general public and internal and external clients (litigants, lawyers, Federal Boards, Tribunal, interveners, witnesses) staff, media on the filing of legal and originating documents submitted to the Courts and prepared by the Courts.
• Compliance services, guidance, support and advice on procedural requirements to general public, clients lawyers, litigants and other registry staff.
• Coordinates activities within the court environment prior to the arrival of the judge or prothonotary; records minutes of hearings; and serves as Court Registrar/Court Technician at sittings of the Courts.
The Courts Administration Service (CAS) provides services to the Federal Court of Appeal, the Federal Court, the Court Martial Appeal Court of Canada and the Tax Court of Canada.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. At minimum successful completion of two years of a post-secondary* school program OR an acceptable combination of education, training and experience related to the position.
*Post-secondary education means years of education following high school graduation (grade 12 or Secondary V).
Recent** experience in interpreting and applying a wide range of Acts, Regulations and Directives.
Recent** experience working in a Judicial, quasi-Judicial or legal environment.
Experience making recommendations and providing procedural advice to clients.
Experience providing front line service to clients.
**Recent experience is defined as within the last six (6) months.
Experience working at the Courts Administration Service.
