Intent of the process

OUR IMMEDIATE NEED IS TO STAFF A BILINGUAL IMPERATIVE (BBB/BBB) POSITION ON AN INDETERMINATE BASIS.

Pools of (fully or partially) qualified candidates will be established to staff identical or similar positions at the AS-03 groups and levels within Natural Resources Canada with various tenures (determinate period or permanent), various language requirements: English Essential, French Essential, English or French Essential and Bilingual imperative and non-imperative profiles (BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC, CCC/CCC, etc.), various security requirements (reliability and secret) and conditions of employment and for various locations.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
• Significant* experience working in information management (IM).
• Experience providing records management services within the context of an Electronic Documents and Records Management System (EDRMS).
• Experience providing advice and guidance on the effective use of IM tools.
*Significant is defines as experience acquired with full-time performance of duties of at least 2 years

Knowledge:
• Knowledge of Government of Canada legislation, policies, principles and procedures pertaining to information management and recordkeeping (IM/RM).
• Knowledge of the principles, features and functions of electronic document and records management (EDRM) solutions, such as GCdocs.
• Knowledge of client service principles and practices.

Abilities:
• Ability to communicate effectively orally.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
• Ability to analyze information, identify issues and propose solutions.
• Ability to manage multiple and conflicting demands and priorities.

The assessment process:
1) Applicant Screening: Your CV and cover letter will be used to evaluate how you meet the following essential criteria: education, experiences and the communications competency.

2) Assessment: For those who meet the screening criteria, other assessment tools may be used such as: Reference checks, an interview, past performance reviews, and/or written exams. If invited to an interview, you will need to provide proof of education, six references (2 supervisors, 2 employees and 2 clients) and a copy of your last 2 performance evaluations.
